Penang forum marred by assault, angry outburst

A public forum to discuss the Penang Hindu Endowments Board (PHEB) on Saturday night was marred by not one but two separate incidents.

A speaker at the forum was allegedly punched by an irate ex-MIC politician after the event in Butterworth had ended.

Last night, a police report was lodged in Jalan Patani police state alleging R Arunasalam of assaulting retired civil servant, K Balakrishnan, 62.

The incident allegedly happened at the Sri Mariamman Hall when Balakrishnan was talking with a few friends after the forum.

hi, my name is rizki from indonesia. i.m studying at University of Indonesia majoring political science. right now i'm writing a tesis called " conflict between the government and Indian ethnic group in Malaysia : case study anty government rally on Nov 25 2008". so i need help to collect alot of data regarding the Malaysian government attitudes toward the Malaysian Indian, and all the fact about discrimination in malaysia and the reason of the November 25 rally. i really appreciate all the help i can get. thank you

At the beginning the phase “HINDRAF…! HINDRAF….!, HINDRAF….!” was popular . Then after our 5 Heroes went into ISA, the phase “MAKKAL SAKTI…! MAKKAL SAKTI…..! MAKKAL SAKTI ….!” took over the popularity. Then came the period for the election, All the Opposition Assemble meeting was talking about this …. Normally starts with MAKKAL SAKTI and Ends with MAKKAL SAKTI.
And never even one assembly forgets to mention HINDRAF too. Then election came opposition never even thought they will get more then ever, when they did not even dream that they could take 5 states away….
And … Now ….. Can you name me one candidate who calls out any of the above PHASE beside the ones who is still involve in the “Hindraf” Group…???...or is there any one has brought this issue to the parliament so far…?

Hindraf is planning to organise a special prayers in Kamunting Mariamman Temple, Taiping for the speedy recovery of P. Uthayakumar and release of all detainee under ISA.

We are planning to create awareness and show sign of protest against this draconian law, ISA as well through Nationwide Motorcade Convoy leading to Kamunting Mariamman Temple.
