integrate each other by the management
- Giving mental torture by doing spotchecks at early morning at both
girls and boys hostel without any proper announcement (INDIAN's

- Entering girls room and misbehaving without any proper procedures
such taking photographs, spokes adn behave rudely
- Making a small problem as a big issue among students from all races

No freedom For Indian Students at UUM

Dear students,
Sactyr and krishavengkat both have valuable pointers. The Raju fellow appears to be a sexual pervert. Technically he can be charged for sexually harassing the girls and being a nuisance beyond his job scope.A police report is essential as he has overstepped his boundaries and should be admonished. An investigation had to be carried out. If the management is complacent with the misdeeds, get your local ADUN and hand over the reports and let him/her pursue it, I am sure you will get results. You guys too stop congregating in large numbers if there is nothing to congregate for.Concentrate on your studies and form small study groups which nobody can object to. Try to have more selective friends with the other races and observe them.Take the good pointers and leave the bad ones. This is once in a life time opportunity so use it wisely. Ragging is outdated. Why don't the freshman/juniors and seniors have a dinner and introduce each other outside the campus if permission is not granted for in campus event. Form a buddy system and let the seniors act also as mentors in studies and guidance. Keep TAMIL MOVIES out of your discussions BECAUSE THEY ARE A CURSE and it will bring you down. Most of the movies(but not all) are made for village idiots in India by ruthless illiterates,so they don't impart good social values. You guys are educated on the way to become the pillars of strength for the Indians so you may want to skip them.
Get inspiration from great people relevant to your coursework. BE GREAT SCHOLARS and try to outdo the best, well thats the best game of them all. Cheers!! and remember to brush up your English by reading during your free time.

My Words For UUM Undergraduates.........

Hi undergraduates,
let me explain to you about law and regulations of universities. We have many local universities in malaysia which have its own rules and regulation. I think your university has a law stating that strictly no to orientation. If i am not mistaken, that is the meaning I got on the sentence stated in Rajeswari`s letter. This is my advice for you if orientation is not allowed in your university, please don`t do it.
Second is about Mr. Raju, I am sorry to hear this negative statement about him from Indian students. Well my advice is , please write a letter to your head of department first. Get all the indian students from your department together and sign the letter. State in the letter , about Mr. Raju`s negative actions and the trauma you all are going through. Wait for the reply and response. If there is no response from the head of the department than report to vice chancellor or chancellor of the university.
Well, all actions you have to take. Please don`t expect others to help you. We can just tell you the way to overcome your problem. This is your studies and you have to make sure you get all your rights while your stay in Universiti Utara Malaysia. In order to get your rights, do not forget about your studies. In this matter your studies come first before all this unwanted problem.
Please use your intelligence skill to think and act in this matter. Think about your studies and concentrate in that. Ask any of the senior indian students to be the head and bring this problem to the admin. Remember unity will bring you success.
Remember varsity life is very enjoyable and fun. Do not miss it. Take the problems light and enjoy your studies. OK?
GOD bless all of you!

Re: Problems at UUM

Just another question, do you guys have some sort of group/association to represent you guys?

Re: Problems at UUM

Bro, I got your email and sorry I didn't have time to reply. But please tell me if you have done any of the following:

1) Write a letter to the local ADUN, politicians who have blogs etc and send a copy of that letter to the vice-chancellor of your university. In your letter, make sure you explain your problems professionally and if needed get those affected to sign the letter.

2) If that doesn't work, lodge a police report and attach the letter you have sent in (1). Keep a copy of the police report and forward a copy to your vice-chancellor. After 7 days find out if any action has been taken by the police.

3) If still nothing happens, then please upload both the letter in (1) and police report in (2) onto this site and we shall help you spread the news.

Unfortunately that's the most I can help you with. This is a community driven website and if you have noticed this site is a news-sharing portal and not an affirmative site. The most I can do is help you spread the word.

And of course another alternative you might choose to explore is get hold on Hindraf personnel on the ground i.e. Mr Thanendran or others and seek their advice.

Police report?

Have you guys lodged a police report yet?

If that sounds unsuitable, then I suggest to approach any politicians whom you think will be help you. You can start by highlighting this problem in politicians blogs. Get a few friends to do the same, it will be more convincing and effective then. If you are still having second thoughts, please contact me at http://sactyr.blogspot.com and I will help to spread the word.

Cheers!
